You see, if you borrow a toothbrush you might be exposing your smile to bad bacteria. Sadly, different people have different germs and bacteria in their mouth. This means different toothbrushes can actually house different germs and bacteria. Furthermore, some people’s gums bleed when they clean their teeth. Like germs, brushes can harbor blood. This can also cause a number of serious problems, including blood-borne illnesses such as herpes and hepatitis.

Fortunately, there are a few things you can do to keep your teeth clean if you ever find yourself without a toothbrush. Of course, if you’re worried about your breath, you could use a mint or mouthwash. Eating an apple or drinking peppermint tea could also help.
